Dr. Katchen, a recognized leader in the world of dermatology, is known for the kind of non-invasive rejuvenation that delivers smooth, radiant skin. He advocates a multi-tiered approach to skincare that starts with a customized daily regimen of products and includes regular facials, occasional more intense treatments, daily use of sunscreen and annual skin checkups. Patients appreciate his expertise, subtle touch and the special attention he pays to the correlation between the body’s inner state and its outward manifestations. Dr. Katchen travels the globe to stay current with new procedures and products, always returning with interesting discoveries.

A native New Yorker, Dr. Katchen trained at Johns Hopkins University and Georgetown University School of Medicine, completed his internship at Stanford University and continued on with a post-graduate fellowship at UCSF. He completed his residency in dermatology at Mount Sinai Medical Center, where he is currently Assistant Professor of Dermatology and teaches the residency program’s cosmetic clinic. Dr. Katchen is board-certified by the American Board of Dermatology and is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. His fellow physicians consistently vote him onto the Castle Connolly Best Doctors list and he is included yearly in the list of “Super Doctors.”

Born and raised in Massachusetts, Dr. Lauren Strazzulla attended Cornell University, from which she graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in biological sciences. She then earned her medical degree at New York University’s Grossman School of Medicine. Upon finishing an internship in internal medicine, Dr. Strazzulla completed her residency in Dermatology at the University of Miami in the Dr. Philip Frost Department of Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery. She is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology and the Women’s Dermatologic Society, has published book chapters and manuscripts in top peer-reviewed journals and delivered oral presentations at highly regarded dermatology conferences.

Dr. Strazzulla’s stellar credentials indicate the comprehensive training she has received in medical dermatology and dermatologic surgery, with deep knowledge in the diagnosis and treatment of all skin disorders, as well as skin cancer. She is excited to join our SoHo office to provide our patients with the finest care, which extends to her specialty in aesthetic techniques, including all manner of injectables, lasers and lifting and tightening procedures.
